Itinerary

Day 1

• Arrival in Tbilisi, meeting at the airport with a sign
• Transfer to the hotel
• Tbilisi Sightseeing Tour: Old Town, Sulfur Baths district, Metekhi Church, Anchiskhati Basilica, Sioni Cathedral. Walk through the narrow streets of the Old Town, cable car ride to the Mother of Georgia monument
• Dinner at a national cuisine restaurant

Day 2

• Departure from the hotel after breakfast
• Visit to the Uplistsikhe Cave Town (8th–3rd century BC)
• Drive to the Racha region. Stop at viewpoints at an altitude of 2,500 meters above sea level
• Participation in the grape harvest (Rtveli) (when available in autumn)
• Khvanchkara wine tasting with local winemakers in Ambrolauri
• Overnight stay at a winery

Day 3

• Sightseeing in Ambrolauri:
  • Nikortsminda Cathedral (12th century)
  • Shaori Lake
• Gelati Monastery (12th–13th century) in Kutaisi
• Visit to Prometheus Cave and Martvili Canyon
• Transfer to Kutaisi, check-in at a family hotel

Day 4

• Departure from Kutaisi
• Transfer to the high-mountain region of Svaneti, to Mestia
• Visit to Heshkili
• Museum visit
• Leisure time in Mestia

Day 5

• Trip to Ushguli, a UNESCO World Heritage site
• Sightseeing: 8th–9th century towers, Mount Shkhara, Lamaria Church (12th century)
• Return to Mestia
• Svan House Museum (12th century)

Day 6

• Transfer from Mestia to Batumi with a stop in Zugdidi to visit the Dadiani Palaces Museum and the new dendrological park
• Lunch with a masterclass in preparing Megrelian dishes at Casa de Khasia
• Arrival in Batumi, free evening

Day 7

• Batumi Sightseeing Tour with a local guide
• Trip to Mountainous Adjara: visit Mirveti and Makhuntseti waterfalls, gorges, and the confluence of rivers
• Return to Batumi
