We will visit the old part of the city, see all the architectural landmarks, and get acquainted with modern Tbilisi. We will delve into the culture and history of the country, visit the ethnographic museum, and in addition to historical and cultural attractions, you will try delicious local dishes and wines. We will visit ancient cities of the country and learn about the history and culture of the locals.
Day 1: Getting Acquainted with Old Tbilisi
We will explore the streets of the old city, the ancient Narikala Fortress, the Metekhi palace district, the sulfur baths district, the old Tbilisi market rows, and discuss the history and culture of the city, its construction, and development in different eras. During the tour, we will visit the Museum of Wine and Georgian Winemaking with a wine tasting. Immersion in the city rhythm, landmarks, and cultural sites are what we will experience during the tour.
Narikala Fortress:
An ancient fortress overlooking the old city, offering panoramic views of Tbilisi.
The fortress was founded in the 4th century and has been rebuilt many times throughout its history.
Metekhi District:
A historic district located on a cliff above the Kura River.
Here you will find the Metekhi Church, built in the 13th century, and a monument to King Vakhtang Gorgasali, the founder of Tbilisi.
Sulphur Baths District:
A famous district where the famous Tbilisi sulfur baths are located.
The sulfur baths are an important part of Tbilisi’s cultural heritage and are popular with locals and tourists alike.
Old Tbilisi Market Rows:
Picturesque streets lined with numerous shops, souvenir shops, and cafes.
Here you can buy traditional Georgian souvenirs, handicrafts, and local products.
Museum of Wine and Georgian Winemaking:
A museum exhibiting artifacts that tell the story of Georgian winemaking, which dates back thousands of years.
Also the museum provides wine tasting of the various types of Georgian wine.
Evening: Dinner with a traditional Georgian feast.
Day 2: Wine Tour – Kakheti
Kakheti:
A region known for its vineyards and wineries.
It produces the famous Georgian wines such as “Kindzmarauli,” “Saperavi,” and “Rkatsiteli.”
Sighnaghi:
A picturesque town located on a hill overlooking the Alazani Valley.
Sighnaghi is known for its fortress wall, narrow streets, and romantic atmosphere.
Bodbe Monastery:
An active nunnery where the relics of St. Nino, the enlightener of Georgia, rest.
The monastery is an important religious center and a place of pilgrimage.
Winery with wine tasting:
A visit to one of the Kakheti wineries, where you can learn about traditional winemaking methods and taste different varieties.
Telavi:
The city of Telavi, is the administrative center of Kakheti.
Day 3: Kazbegi
Coming to Georgia, to Tbilisi, and not seeing the majestic Kazbegi would be a missed opportunity. Along the way, we will visit:
Ananuri Fortress:
A picturesque fortress located on the shore of the Zhinvali Reservoir.
The fortress was built in the 16th century and served as a defensive structure.
Gudauri:
A popular ski resort located on the Georgian Military Road.
Gudauri is known for its scenic landscapes and opportunities for outdoor activities.
The confluence of the White and Black Aragvi rivers:
The place where two rivers merge – the White and Black Aragvi.
This natural phenomenon creates a beautiful contrast of colors.
The “Friendship of Nations” arch:
A monumental structure located on the Cross Pass.
The arch was built in Soviet times and symbolizes the friendship between the peoples of the USSR.
Cross Pass:
One of the highest passes on the Georgian Military Road.
Stepantsminda (Kazbegi):
A village located at the foot of Mount Kazbek.
Stepantsminda is the starting point for climbing Kazbek.
Gergeti Trinity Church:
A 14th-century church located at an altitude of 2200 meters above sea level.
Gergeti Trinity Church is a symbol of Kazbegi and a popular place for photographs.

Day 4: Mtskheta – Uplistsikhe
Mtskheta:
An ancient city, the first capital of Georgia and the religious center of the country.
Mtskheta is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Jvari Monastery:
A 6th-century monastery located on a mountaintop overlooking the confluence of the Kura and Aragvi rivers.
Jvari is one of the most revered religious sites in Georgia.
Svetitskhoveli Cathedral:
An 11th-century cathedral where one of the main Christian relics, the Seamless Robe of Jesus, is kept.
Svetitskhoveli Cathedral is a spiritual symbol of Georgia.
Uplistsikhe:
An ancient cave city carved into the rock.
Uplistsikhe existed from the 6th century BC to the 19th century AD.
We will return to Tbilisi full of emotions and information, amazed and satisfied, as such ancient places charge us and transmit their energy.
Day 5: Relaxation Day
For those with flights – transfer to the airport.
